Nominations officially open for HSA President

HSAs 2007 Annual Convention will be one of the most exciting conventions in recent memory as delegates will elect a new union president for the first time in fourteen years.

Cindy Stewart, president of HSA since 1993, announced last April that she would not be seeking re-election for another term at the 2007 convention.

Nominations for the position of president are now officially open and will remain open until the final call for nominations on the last day of convention, Saturday, April 21 2007.

Any member interested in seeking the office of president must contact Rebecca Maurer, HSAs Director of Strategic Communications & Member Development, to receive a candidate information package including nomination forms and deadlines for participating in all-candidate forums.

HSA members can learn more about the role of the HSA president and the election process in the upcoming November/December issue of The Report.

Information about the candidates will be published in the 2007 Annual Report and will also be available on the HSA website.
