SWITCH BC Wants to Hear from You on Violence in Healthcare

SWITCH BC which stands for Safety, Wellbeing, Innovation, Training and Collaboration in Healthcare is a new organization focused on the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone working in healthcare in B.C.  Part of the work of SWITCH BC is to do a refresh of the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum, updating it and making it meaningful, effective and inclusive to healthcare workers in every corner of BC. To this end SWITCH BC wants to hear from you, the members of HSA.

SWITCH BC is hosting a number of surveys and collaboration sessions across BC. The sessions are available online, and in person at healthcare facilities and union offices across the province.

Members are encouraged to participate in upcoming sessions by registering in advance for the online session for HSA members (July 5), or the HSA in person session July 6, at the HSA office in New Westminster.  Note that the New Westminster session is for lower mainland participants, members outside the lower mainland may attend the virtual session.  Members participating in the virtual or in person sessions will receive a $50 gift card for Save-On-Foods courtesy of SWITCH BC.  No other compensation or wage replacement will be offered.

In addition to these opportunities, members will have an opportunity to participate in upcoming drop-in sessions at various Health Care facilities in Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria, and Abbotsford.  The drop-in sessions will take 15-30 minutes.  Participants are asked to confirm supervisor permission to attend during worktime.
