Think Community Forum March 26 focuses on solutions for our communities

Local and regional issues are on the agenda for a New Westminster and District Labour Council meeting March 26th as part of the labour council's 2008 Municipal Election Program.

The Think Community Forum will open with guest panelists who will share their experiences and innovative approaches to bring lasting, positive change to our communities and schools.

Discussion group topics are:

  • Striking a Balance: How do we balance the need for affordable housing, jobs and our environment?
  • Schools for Kids: How can public education meet the needs of our children?
  • People on the Move: Can we create transportation choices and address climate change?

The labour council's region includes all communities from Burnaby and Delta east to Langley and Maple Ridge.
 
There is no pre-registration or cost attached to attending this forum.

Where: Operating Engineers Hall,
4333 Ledger Avenue, Burnaby, BC

Light appetizers will be availabe at 5 p.m. THe panel presentations begin and 5:15 p.m., the group sessions will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
