Member-at-Large elections in Regions 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 this fall

Are you looking for a more active role in the union?  Then run for Member-at-Large!

Member-at-Large elections are conducted during the unions regional meetings held each fall. This year, Member-at-Large elections will take place in odd-numbered regions (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9).

Members-at-Large are elected by regional meeting delegates and begin their term at the conclusion of the 2009 annual convention.

Members-at-Large are an important part of the unions governance structure, as they represent the membership on union committees and attend the BC Federation of Labour convention.

If you are interested in running for Member-at-Large in your region, please contact your chief steward for a copy of the election policies and procedures, and Member-at-Large duties.  All eligible HSA members are encouraged to run for these important positions.  You do not have to attend the regional meeting to run for Member-at-Large.
