Joan Magee acclaimed as Region 8 Director
HSA members in Region 8 have elected Joan Magee to a fourth term as their representative to the HSA Board of Directors. Joan was acclaimed after the February 1st deadline passed with no further nominations.
A Medical Laboratory Technologist at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, Joan is a long-time HSA activist who served as an Occupational Health and Safety Steward and as a Chief Steward before becoming a Member-at-Large. As a board member since 2004, Joan has been on several HSA committees, and currently serves on the Finance and Political Action Committees, as a member of the health science professional bargaining team and as a Trustee for HSAs long term disability plan.
Joan is also a Constituency Liaison, and an HSA Labour Council Delegate who is currently Vice President of the South Cariboo Labour Council.
