HSP Members invited to complete survey on negotiations

As you know, the Health Sciences Association is currently attempting to negotiate a new employment contract with the BC government.

Last month, after months with no offers from the government, HSA led a series of rotating strikes involving members like you. The strikes were called off when the government tabled a new offer.

Wed like to find out more about what you think about the offer made by the government.

We will be conducting an on-line poll over a two week period beginning Friday and ending on February 1 at 5:00 pm.

The poll, which is being conducted in partnership with professional public opinion researchers at Vision Critical, is an important part of the member consultation that will guide the bargaining committee through the crucial weeks to come.

To participate in the poll, please check your email for an invitation that will be sent this Friday, January 18 to all HSA members covered by the Health Science Professionals collective agreement. The invite will include a link to the on line poll.

Members who have not provided their home e-mail addresses to HSA will not be invited to participate. However, if members provide their personal email address to HSA by Monday, January 28 at 5:00 pm, they will be included in a second round of invites. If you are aware of HSA members covered by the Health Science Professionals collective agreement who do not receive an email, please share this information with them.

If you do not receive an invitation email, please send your full name and email address to @email.

Prior to completing the poll, members may wish to learn more about the governments last offer by reading a detailed FAQ document on the HSA web site.
