Gibbons elected to represent Region 5 members on Board of Directors

HSA members have elected Carla Gibbons to serve a two-year term on the union’s board of directors representing Region 5, which includes a number of worksites in the Lower Mainalnd, including BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital and the Vancouver Cancer Centre.
A cytotechnologist at the Vancouver Cancer Centre, Gibbons has been active in the union and began volunteering as a steward in 2016.
She has been a member-at-large since 2017, and a member of the union’s Resolutions Committee, which considers all resolutions forwarded for discussion at the union’s annual conventions.
Gibbons will join the Board of Directors on adjournment of the 2019 HSA annual convention Friday, April 5.
