Election of Region 8 director ... Deadline Extended
Due to the current lock-out by Canada Post of Canadian Union of Postal Workers members, HSA is extending the deadline for Region 8 members to return their mail-in ballots to elect a new Region 8 Director.
Wednesday, June 29 was the original deadline for HSA to receive ballots. Canada Post discontinued all regular mail delivery, and ceased accepting any new mail, in the middle of June. Once mail service resumes, HSA will issue another bulletin to notify Region 8 members of the revised deadline for HSA to receive ballots.
Ballot envelopes already received by HSA will continue to be stored in a secure location until the new deadline, at which time all ballots received will be counted by the Elections Committee.
