This is a womens conference wherelabour and community women from around the province will meet to focus onwomens economic equality, womens advocacy and childcare issues. The conference will open with a paneldiscussion with guest speakers who are knowledgeable about these issues. The training sessions will ensure you have theskills to lobby effectively and to develop a lobbying plan. The conference includes a visit to thelegislature for question period and an opportunity to lobby an MLA. The BC Federation of Labours Womens RightsCommittee is training women to make sure our voices are heard. Women make a difference.

Deadline for registration is April 18, 2006. HSA covers wage loss, registration,transportation, accommodation (shared), meals, and approved dependentcare. If you are approved to attend, HSAwill notify you by telephone and you may make travel arrangements at that time. HSA will be booking the hotel accommodation.

Dates: May 1 ... 3, 2006

Time: The conference begins 10:30 a.m., Monday, May1, and ends Wednesday, May 3, 2006 mid-day.
