HSA offers and provides access to scholarships and bursaries to all members and their children throughout the year.  Please note below the announcement of a new scholarship, a reminder of approaching deadlines, and a reminder of an open call for an HSA scholarship.

Canadian Nursing Week Workshop for RPNs

To celebrate Canadian Nursing Week, May 8 to 14, Health Sciences Association has partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association to offer a new workshop specifically for HSA Registered Psychiatric Nurses.

Join us at the HSA head office in New Westminster, BC on Thursday, May 11 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for this two-part workshop:

Working Together to Address Workplace Mental Health keynote and Awareness of Mental Health Workshop.

HSA members eligible for NUPGE scholarship program

NUPGE scholarships are open to the children, grandchildren or foster children of HSA members who are starting a post-secondary education.

Each year, the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) offers scholarships that reflect its pursuit of equal opportunity for all workers. Historically there have been four scholarships, and for 2017, NUPGE has added the Brian Fudge Memorial Scholarship.

Last Call for HSA Election Campaign School

Space is still available in HSA's 2-day, non-partisan election campaign school for members who are interested in working  on election campaigns or running for political office.  The school will focus on opportunities for HSA members to be involved in the May 2017 provincial election, but will also touch on municipal and federal elections.
