The BC Health Coalition is calling on voters to elect federal candidates who will commit to standing up in support of Medicare and oppose the growth of for-profit health care.

HSA Labour Day Family Picnic

Join HSA colleagues for a fun and relaxing family day Monday, Sept. 1 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the annual Labour Day Picnic at Confederation Park in Burnaby

The day will include live music provided by the BC Federation of Labour and BC Union Label Trades Council, clowns and magicians, a playground and lacrosse box. Burnaby Central Railway authentic miniature trains will be running at the north end of the park.

Worksafe BC holds information session on infectious disease in high-risk communities

WorkSafeBC is hosting a half-day information session Tuesday, October 14 for social service and community care employers and workers. The focus will be on current and emerging trends in infectious diseases, including MRSA and TB, in high-risk communities. Registration is open, and not restricted to employers and workers in social services and community care.

Vancouver Whitecaps celebrate unions August 10 vs. Atlanta Silverbacks

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is celebrating unions in B.C. Sunday, August 10 at Swangard Stadium with reduced ticket prices for union members.

The game is Sunday August 10, with a 4 p.m. kick-off.
