Dear Member.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many challenges to our working lives that couldn't have been foreseen a year ago. We're not alone in this, as world wide industries have been affected. While many of us have the luxury of safely working from home, there are countless frontline workers, including health care professionals, who often face extremely worrisome conditions on the job.
From my various interactions with several colleagues in healthcare, I can attest to the often overlooked impact on mental health , even in the best of circumstances.
I am optimistic that I can help the board reach a consensus about establishing further health and safety policies that will benefit all members of Region 5.
In order to do this, I am respectfully asking for your vote so that I can serve as your Regional Director.
Although the past year has offered many challenges in fulfilling our region's needs, I am committed to presenting your concerns to union leadership. Whether it's about your wages, benefits or having a decent work-life balance, I'm ready to help the voices of Region 5 be heard.
I appreciate the variation of schedules and workloads of my fellow HSA members, but with your support, together, we can streamline communication channels and improve the union's current state of affairs.
I will be contacting all Region 5 members shortly with more information via email.
As always, kindly contact me if there are any questions or concerns, especially if you don't receive a follow-up email from me.
While I hope I can count on your vote come March 26 – April 23, 2021, it's important that you exercise your right to vote in this coming election. We as HSABC, the union, need to hold our leaders accountable and encourage democratic changes and modernization.
Respectfully and in solidarity,
