Christopherson re-elected to serve on HSA Board of Directors

John Christopherson has been elected to serve a two-year term as a member of HSA’s Board of Directors, representing HSA members in Region 5 from several worksites, including Children’s and Women’s Hospital, Vancouver and Fraser Valley Cancer Centres, Sunny Hill Health Centre, Open Door Group, and the Centre for Ability.

Christopherson is a counsellor at BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver. He has served in HSA for more than a decade, as a steward, Member at Large, and on the 2010 HSPBA Negotiating Committee. Earlier in his life he was active in the union movement in the fishing industry on the BC Coast. He was subsequently involved in the business world, and began working in health care in 1999. 

Since becoming a member of the Board of Directors in November 2013, he has been involved in the union’s Occupational Health and Safety, and Finance committees. He has served as Secretary Treasurer of the union for two years.
